Literature Text

That point in between worlds
Where dreams collide with reality
And reality spills over into a place where
The walls are broken down and nothing and everything exists in the same time
In that haze where blissful remnants of a secret place
And nightmares bleed into the room
Carrying with it, that fear, untouched in your waking self
Where worlds collide
And spaces exist in a sweet harmony only felt
For a moment
And then, reality grabs hold of your feet
And pulls you back with a bitter dissolution
Echoing faded memories of once forgotten dreams
And the quiet unrest of a thought
Interrupted.
The essence of a dream.
I wrote this right after waking from a point of being halfway to sleep. I was trying to describe the experience of that 'not really awake but not really asleep' phase of distinguishing between reality and dreams.

Since it was written so late at night, I'm not sure what to think of it so I encourage honest critique.
